Health and Emergencies
Quality Health is essential component of HWA’s overall development programs with key focus on Mother, Newborn and Child Health. HWA follows holistic approach i-e capacity building of Health Care Providers, awareness on health care, behavioral change of children & parents to adopt best health practices in order to improve their health status. Besides, HWA mobilize community in order to promote the idea of community ownership of health facilities for quality assurance and sustainability through its Partnership Defined Quality Initiatives Approach.
HWA has technical team who have highly served in the field of health specifically, TB, HIV/AIDS, Polio, Hepatitis, Malaria and other life taking diseases.
HWA conducted 20 awareness sessions with rural women on reproductive health in different district of Sindh, more than 400 rural women participated in sessions.
HWA conducted 15 community mobilization events/sessions on POLIO eradication campaign with the collaboration of district government and health department.
HWA conducted 25 awareness sessions on immunization in different villages of District Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, and Noushero Feroz
HWA conducted 5 sessions to create awareness among communities about typhoid campaign.
HWA conducted 40 sessions and awareness walks with children to create awareness about health hygiene and nutrition.
HWA is also member organization of EPI (NGO/CSO) Sindh and playing key role to support immunization program in Sindh. Under this HWA conducted several awareness sessions during the campaign i.e. measles, hepatitis, TB etc. in Sindh.
