During several interventions on Climate Change and disaster risk reduction, HWA has contributed to strengthen advocacy and knowledge-sharing networks. We have built strong collaboration with national and multilateral partners to help reform governance, particularly in water resource management, climate adaptation and influence policy makers to invest in building resilient infrastructure.
Our programs have contributed to climate change mitigation primarily by strengthening climate resilience, disaster preparedness and community level risk governance. Through our interventions, we have helped improve community access to early warning systems, protect climate sensitive livelihoods and enhanced climate responsive local governance and extended climate knowledge through community led actions.
